Jeff Bolduc has been a freelance composer and arranger since graduating from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Composition. He also holds a Masters Degree in Music Education from Boston University, and Director of Fine Arts certification from Fitchburg State University.
After 32 year as a public school band director, Jeff retired as the Director of Fine Arts for the Dedham Public Schools and the DHS Band Director in the Fall of 2019. In this capacity he managed music, theater, and art programs and teachers from PreK through grade 12. He continues to serve as adjunct faculty at Fitchburg State University, teaching the Creative Arts Curriculum graduate course since 2016.
Mr. Bolduc has extensive experience with marching bands and DCI drum corps over the past 40 years. As the music arranger for the Spartans, Jersey Surf, and countless other groups, he is well known as an arranger, brass teacher, and music judge in those circles. The East Coast Jazz horn line won the DCI Div. II Brass titles in 2004 and 2005, also capturing high GE Music with Jeff as Arranger and Brass Caption Head. ECJ was the 2005 DCI Div. II/III Grand Champions. Jeff was inducted into the Massachusetts Drum Corps and Music Education Hall of Fame in 2017.
Mr. Bolduc has also composed original commissioned pieces for Concert and Jazz Bands over the past 30+ years. These range from simple concert band arrangements to full Wind Symphony pieces and Big Band and Combo Jazz compositions and custom arrangements. He has also composed and produced many soundtrack projects from theme songs, to commercial projects, pilot shows, with full producing capabilities.
Prior to Dedham, Jeff taught in Burlington, his hometown of Danvers, Londonderry, NH and Norwood MA with experience in band, string, vocal, and jazz performance, grades 6-12. He has also served as the Director of the University of New Hampshire Wildcat Marching Band, and the Wakefield HS and Norwood HS marching bands.
Adapt at trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba, Jeff has performed with professional groups, community theatre groups and concert ensembles, and has been a sought after private lesson instructor for many years.
